The Tale of "Teach, Repeat.....Record!"-Benchmark Phonics

Okay friends — real talk. My teachers in the building hit a major snag with how to grade and post Tier 2 students’ Benchmark data. 😅 It was like watching someone try to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing.

So… did I jump right in and teach them in person?➡️ You bet I did. 👩🏽‍🏫

Did I follow up to make sure everything finally clicked?➡️ Absolutely. ✔️

But guess what? Even after the walkthrough, a few eyebrows were still raised and some puzzled stares lingered. That’s when I thought, “Aha… we need a legend… a guide… a video!” 🎥✨

So I recorded a quick and dirty tutorial video with all the instructions. No edits. No fancy transitions. Just straight 💡 step‑by‑step clarity.

And the feedback… oh my gosh — it was so good:

🗨️ “Now if I have to go back to it again, I can.”🗨️ “This was majorly helpful!”

That right there? That’s the magic of giving teachers what they need, when they need it — especially in a world where PD doesn’t have to be stuffy or serious to be effective. 😉

We laughed, we learned, and yes — we graded like champions. 💪📊Because sometimes a little video + a lot of heart is all it takes to turn confusion into confidence.

Stay tuned… next up: Benchmark hacks you didn’t know you needed! 😄
